Concocted in a crypt of funerary fervour, the mephitic waft from the tomb entitled, ‘Long Forgotten Relic’ is the debut demo by Krvna. 2021 is the year engraved on the tomb maker for this marvellous release of sublime Vampyric Black metal that is thematically rooted firmly in the romance tradition of Gothic literature and Byronic vampyrism. With these two tracks, Krvna explores the Vampire mythos from ancient Biblical times to the black forests and mountainous castle crypts of Balkan & Carpathian incarnations of the Vampire.
‘Long Forgotten Relic’ abounds with epic riffs that swell with grandiose and otherworldly energy amidst pure melodic splendour, ominous choral liturgies and fragments of sanguineous decadence that rise to spire-like heights; all while drenched in black, haunting atmospheres and the nocturnal savagery of wanton blood lust.
Krvna is truly a triumph of Vampyric Black Metal, the progeny of maestro Krvna vatra, hailing from Australia and Seance Records has been convivially seduced by the night to release this grand work as a special deluxe tape edition on pro cassette with full body printing and fold out j-card limited to only 50 copies.

One-man atmospheric black metal project from Australia or Ex-Yugoslavia, but who cares? The lengthy tracks are pure melodic BM maelstrom, with heavy piano tunes at the end of "The Flaming Hordes..." which is my favorite track together with "Veni, Vidi, Vici". The guitar work is amazing and I like the production, the vocals is complemented with growls that stand out clearly and not overshadowed by the guitars or the drums blasting away. Awaiting the new one !!

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone. Insoutenable...
